Who
We are a Fremantle living couple whiling away our out of work time from our public sector employment in the Health and Education Departments.
Why
This site is a result of testing the cameras out. The camera/s were originally purchased for work use. Over time they have been used to document some of the mundane, interesting parts of Fremantle and WA Life. The original photographs stem from an interest in action photography. Capturing the idiosyncrasies of movement frame by frame. Testing out our developing skills in burst mode scene by scene. Apart from holidays, most of the photos are done of the weekend or late in the afternoon / early evening.
Picture Adjustments
Despite the many benefits of Adobe Photoshop and other graphics software engines, the photos enclosed in this blog are in their original taken format. No colour corrections, brightness adjustments etc etc were used. We know, and we live with our decisions. We have begun to experiment with changing the exposure settings for sunset and late evening shots.
Nearly all original photos have been taken at 4608 x 3456 resolution at 350dpi. On the very rare occasion when we can be bothered to correct wonky horizons, we have had to rotate the canvas (Photoshop), crop a selection and save it down.
Uploaded photos have been, in general, shrunk down to 2000 x 1500/1500 x 2000 (350dpi) or 1000 x 750/750 x 1000 (350dpi). There are few other legacy 4 x 3 aspect ratios smaller sized photos here and there.
There are the occasional panorama shots that have been shrunk down.
