Went for the western breakfast today. There is something to be said for crispy hash browns, scrambled egg and chilli sauce. Start the day off eating light.

Hand to dress to impress again today. Off to the Four Seasons Hotel overlooking Hong Kong Harbour. This hotel affords 8 Michelin Stars over three restaurants. For us, Caprice (French – 3 Michelin Stars) was our target (Click for external link).

We arrived at 12.20 and were seated straight away (10 mins early).

This place was full of bling. Gold decor everywhere, chandeliers sparkling from above spraying reflections over the floor and tables.

They seated us against the window. What a view from the 6th floor. Hong Kong was only slightly cloudy, so blue skies won the battle against the grey.

Over the next 2.5 hrs, we indulged and tasted through seven courses each. Overall, from Appetizers to Dessert, we chose differently (10 dishes). This was aided by a bottle vintage (2007) Champagne.

After leaving at closing time (15.00), we headed up to the outside pool for coffee and tea. This gave us a breath-taking view of most of the harbour on this clear day. A wonderful way to spend a 50th.

Cameras put away, and liquid refreshed, we headed off back to Times Square.

Went out exploring looking for Harry Potter Knight bus, or known locally as the “ding ding”.  The trams run on narrow gauge and look like the Harry Potter Knight Bus, except these trams are double decker (more to follow).

Finished the night off at a Japanese restaurant looking for crunch and a beer.

Tsukemen Mitaseimenjo.
Cold Sapporos to start, followed by: Takoyaki, Crab Cream Croquette, Kimchi, Pan Fried Dumplings and Deep Fried Chicken.
