By far the nicest port city we have seen in South Australia. Heritage buildings, wide streets with cute little shops plying their trade.

We took a meandering walk along the old waterefront. A nice mix of old heritage building and new developments, littered with old ships and vessels. Some fully renovated, others left on the back burner.

Wall art on huge sides of old warehouse buildings which had to be looked at twice to be seen. Two sides of a peninsula,  docks, imports, cranes.

Day 47 – Adelaide – Port Adelaide

We then carried on up the small penisula to the outer suburbs of Port Adelaide (Outer Harbour, North Haven, Osbourne, Taperoo, Largs Bay and Semaphore). The residential areas with green seafront areas, and 2, yes 2 jetties.

The beach was white and sandy, the water crystal clear, shallow, and inviting. The sky was clear blue today, this place felt like it was more than 20 km from the CBD.

Just what we needed. Thanks Port Adelaide. However, we won’t be big PORT fans tomorrow, go Dockers…. Freo Dockers.
