Adelaide City. We woke after a good nights sleep. Both happy not to get in the car and drive. So we had brekkie and gave our feet a work out.

We went to the Rundle Mall and surrounds, plenty of old buildings to look at, lots of quaint shopping malls. We headed to China Town and the city markets, they were great, fresh fruit, deli goods, meat, wine etc, something that Perth is sadly lacking in. Having a market with everything under one big roof is something the town planners have overlooked. Fresh meat, veg, fruit and fish all cheaper that the standard supermarks prices. Amazing. It is only when you travel around Australia that you realise how much we are getting ripped off in WA.
We made our way through parks, sculptures and years of architectural culture. Crossing the river we headed over to check out the Adelaide Oval. We are going to watch our first interstate game and the first game of the season for Freo this Saturday. Hope it’s a good start.
The kind concierge at the oval said that we could go in, walk around and take any photos if we wanted. As we walked around, the ground was being prepped for Saturday.

We headed back over the river Torrens towards our hotel. Coffee and a bikkie and we are back in our room, relaxing before dinner. We walked about 5 km today, fresh air and dinner will probably mean an early night. Tomorrow is winery day in and around the Barossa.
